Subject: Looks good. So what...?

You get to choose from a group of 10 or so "starter heroes" to get
your feet wet. Once you log in on Day 2 you receive 400 eternity
splinters, which is the in-game currency used to purchase new
heroes/team-ups. Heroes range from 200-400 ES. So, right off the bat
you can have up to 3 heroes just for logging in.

Other than this, eternity splinters drop every 6 mins or so. Their drop
rate can be increased by potions/special item find boosts which can
be acquired from log-in gifts, story line rewards, and Mark 1 Fortune
Cards which you can get from farming Cube Shards (every 20 hours you
can get 24 of these if you run all of the red and green terminals).
