Fixed in 2.2.0.3-4 and above from Debian https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=663114

Unfortunately, looks like only older versions are available in Ubuntu
until Zesty.

Title:
dkms only using one core for compiling

Status in dkms package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I've set my CONCURRENCY_LEVEL variable to 8 to use all CPU cores of
the i7. This works fine when compiling programs from the command line.
But whenever dkms needs to compile something, like e.g. the vboxdrv,
it only uses one single core (can be seen with htop) and thus takes a
  lot longer.

This is on Ubuntu 13.04 with dkms 2.2.0.3-1.1ubuntu2. I also noticed
this on Quantal with older dkms versions.
