Public bug reported: During last update/upgrade, process freeze on executing /etc/kernel/postinst.d/dkms 4.8.0-32-generic /boot/vmlinuz-4.8.0-32-generic. After an hour, I interrupt it and run sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade again, but still with out any effects. (Of course I remove locks and run sudo dpkg --configure -a before). Even reboot don't change anything.
I have x64 Ubuntu 16.10 with kernel 4.8.0-30-generic. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Screenshot from terminal (result of command: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y)" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1651598/+attachment/4794477/+files/Screen_2016-12-21_00-02-24.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1651598 Title: Last update (to 4.8.0-32.34) freeze Status in linux package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: During last update/upgrade, process freeze on executing /etc/kernel/postinst.d/dkms 4.8.0-32-generic /boot/vmlinuz-4.8.0-32-generic.
