I connect it to my quantal laptop via USB 3.0 Sometimes the drive spins downs and powers off, as if it was ejected in the OS, except it wasn't. The device disappears from the kernel. This results in getting I/O errors and getting filesystems / mountpoints disappearing. Especially this is a pain with LVM as that leaves broken device-mapper symlinks all over the /dev/ tree. Is there anything I can do to help troubleshoot this, just let me know.
