Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Hardware: Dell Vostro 5459 (CID 201508-19025) Image: 16.04.1 [Steps to Reproduce] 1. Make a 16.04.1 live USB. 2. Use this USB stick to boot the machine to the live desktop. I could not install the system because of LP: #1626869 so I test this issue in a live environment. 3. Click the network manager to connect available wireless AP.[1] 4. Plugin ethernet cable. Check the network manager status.[2] [Expected Result] [1][2] WIFI and ethernet are ready to use. [Actual Result] [1] Network manager shows "device not ready" for wireless. [2] Network manager seems to try to get IP but the connection could not be established, and no IP is shown by the command "ifconfig". [Additional Information] Both of the hardware, wireless device and ethernet port, are normal. They could enable and work with the associated pre-installed Ubuntu image supported by Canonical.
