I also have this bug running 16.04 (4.4.0-34-generic). Very annoying to have your network just fall out of the sky randomly when your home directories are remote.

Rebooting the machine makes the wireless driver work again (for a little bit anyway). I haven't checked if it's related to suspend/resume, but I use this a lot. I can try bisecting for a kernel which doesn't have this problem, although between when I started having problems, I upgraded to Vivid (which didn't fix the problem.)
