OK, let me ask: 1) What makes people think it's a kernel bug? The kernel is detecting the CD drives in the bootdmesg, and if I read the bug correctly it mounts them if told to. 2) Does this issue happen in an installed system; i.e. if you install (I think you could probably install to a thumb drive if you wanted to be careful of your exisitng hard drive install) does it automount the CDs? 2a) Because if it does happen on an installed system it's going to be a heck of a lot easier to debug 3) udevdb is showing all three sr0,sr1,sr2 and for the drives with media seems to have identified the filesystems.
