Public bug reported: On Debian PPC, Ethernet works perfectly, and messages relating to "ibmebus" are in dmesg. Ubuntu setup cannot see the Ethernet adapter, and to install Ubuntu I had to connect a USB Ethernet dongle.
I get the feeling that the ibmebus driver is missing from the kernel, and I've attached a file that the bug reporter created with the dmesg log from Ubuntu. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: ibm linux ppc ppc64 ** Attachment added: "bug reporter log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1612725/+attachment/4719695/+files/bug.apport ** Description changed: On Debian PPC, Ethernet works perfectly, and messages relating to "ibmebus" are in dmesg.
