Hello,
I have in my hands a slightly different Asus E205SA. This one comes with an
Elan Touchpad.
On the outside it looks exactly the same.
The other E205SA with the malfunctioning touchpad, has vendor id "0b05", which
is:
vendor: 0b05 ("ASUSTek Computer, Inc.")
Could it be that ASUSTek touchpads are actually rebranded Elan?
Is there any way to force loading the Elan driver for this touchpad, and see if
it works?
It could be that the driver already exists and just needs to be modified to
match the id 0b05:0101?
Please help. I have 35 Asus E205SA in my school, and they perform so
much better with Linux!
