I've found the kernel code that is not processing this key-event. https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/drivers/platform/x86/dell- wmi.c#L218
Is there any way that the event is NOT ignored by that code in the case of the Dell XPS 15 9550? (It was initially designed for Dell XPS 13 9350, where the intel-wifi-driver handles the hotkey event) I'll try the kernel mentioned by @jsalisbury -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1589886 Title: Wireless hotkey fails on Dell XPS 15 9550 Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Title: Wireless hotkey fails on Dell XPS 15 9550 Summary: Wireless key does nothing on Dell XPS 15 9550.
