This is reported against an old version of Ubuntu and many things has
changed since then. Because of that we won't fix this issue however if
this behavior repeats on a modern version please fill a bug report
against it and we will take it from there.

Bug description:
In 12.10 (as well as in 13.04 & 12.04) "Set up a new device" opens the
relevant window which searches & searches but finds nothing, though
the Android phone is but a meter away (and fully discoverable in
Windows 7).
