Close laptop lid. 2. Wait a couple of minutes. 3. Open laptop lid. Result: the screen remains powered off and the system will not respond in any way. Pressing keys does nothing. Pressing the power button does nothing. There is no disk activity but the power light is lit. The only thing you can do is press the power button for four seconds or remove the battery.
