this happend with Trancend TS-RDF8K USB 3.0 card reader that has GL3220 only 4.4-0-16 -generic

Problem: The USB3.0 ports of VL800 work as expected. - no card is detected when inserted into the card-reader part. If the card reader part is connected to any other USB port in the computer, it works as expected ! This proves, that these two components, assembled into a product, are capable of working together - but won't do so on Ubuntu 12.04 -kernel 3.2.0-25 Please help me help you find teh bug, I'll test and submit whatever log you need if you tell me what to do.
