The 4.2.0-x kernels are being installed via apt. Where the 4.2.x was installed from the mainline kernel ppa. The last 4.2.x kernel that I tested was at http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.2.4-wily/

When I revert back to the 4.2 kernel, the load goes back down. (Reason for using the 4.5 kernel is because the Intel i915 Graphics driver crashes/freezes).
