Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 amd64 Desktop, with kernel 4.3. And my USB Video Camera is from Gsou, containing both camera device and microphone device.
When booting Ubuntu, after login ubuntu session, system freeze for around 40 seconds !! Finnally I found out that its "snd-usb-audio.ko" that makes it too slow when login. So I added "blacklist snd-usb-audio" into /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.list, then everything is okay, login step works normally. After login desktop, I opened a terminal and execute "sudo modprobe snd- usb-audio" to load microphone device manually, then it's still very slow to load -- =============== ghostplant@ghostplant:~$ sudo modprobe snd-usb-audio real 0m41.301s user 0m0.540s sys 0m2.912s =========== After waiting 40s to load snd-usb-audio, "dmesg | mesg" displays a new message: [ 806.057680] usbcore: registered new interface driver snd-usb-audio So, I think there is a bug containning inside snd-usb-audio.ko, because it's not supposed to cost so much time.
