While I upgrade them, the kernel's package rimains the linux-headers-3.0.0-16-generic and everything goes rigth. When I dist-upgrade the vms, the kernel changes to linux-headers-3.0.0-17-generic and this makes the machine not rebootable. In fact as soon as I reboot the machine I receive a XenServer's error about pygrub unable to find partition containing server. --- AlsaDevices: total 0 crw-rw---- 1 root audio 116, 1 2012-04-04 16:33 seq crw-rw---- 1 root audio 116, 33 2012-04-04 16:33 timer AplayDevices: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 ArecordDevices: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Lspci: Lsusb: Error: command ['lsusb'] failed with exit code 1: unable to initialize libusb: -99 Package: linux (not installed) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US:en LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcKernelCmdLine: root=UUID=fe3a8533-800e-4797-ba16-eb944fe4732d ro console=hvc0 splash quiet vt.handoff=7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-16.28-generic 3.0.17 Tags: oneiric Uname: Linux 3.0.0-16-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/973405/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
