** Description changed: I am using Ubuntu Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS I run into problems, when I try to operate (the printer or) the scanner of my Canon Pixma MG3250 via wireless connection using the driver scangearmp. Until kernel 3.13.0-65 everything was OK. 3.13.0-66 didn't work, the scanner was not found. 3.13.0-67 did work again 3.13.0-68 did still work 3.13.0-70 didn't work anymore, the scanner could not be found 3.13.0-71 same as above Reinstallation of driver package didn't change anything. + --- + ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.19 + Architecture: amd64 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USER PID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC0: jens 2491 F.... pulseaudio + /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p: jens 2491 F...m pulseaudio + /dev/snd/seq: timidity 1591 F.... timidity + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 + HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=d4da7400-8b56-48da-956a-f5ed44201045 + InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-04-18 (598 days ago) + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Release amd64 (20140417) + MachineType: LENOVO 434299G + Package: linux (not installed) + ProcEnviron: + LANGUAGE=de_DE + TERM=xterm + PATH=(custom, no user) + LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcFB: + 0 inteldrmfb + 1 nouveaufb + ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.13.0-71-generic root=UUID=38a9f02e-508a-40b0-893c-ba067344cd2e ro noplymouth resume=/dev/sda2 + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-71.114-generic 3.13.11-ckt29 + PulseList: + Error: command ['pacmd', 'list'] failed with exit code 1: Home directory not accessible: Permission denied + No PulseAudio daemon running, or not running as session daemon. + RelatedPackageVersions: + linux-restricted-modules-3.13.0-71-generic N/A + linux-backports-modules-3.13.0-71-generic N/A + linux-firmware 1.127.19 + Tags: trusty + Uname: Linux 3.13.0-71-generic x86_64 + UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + UserGroups: fuse + _MarkForUpload: True + dmi.bios.date: 07/19/2010 + dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO + dmi.bios.version: 39CN15WW + dmi.board.asset.tag: Tag 12345 + dmi.board.name: MoutCook + dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO + dmi.board.version: Not Applicable + dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Tag + dmi.chassis.type: 10 + dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO + dmi.chassis.version: N/A + dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvr39CN15WW:bd07/19/2010:svnLENOVO:pn434299G:pvrLenovoV560:rvnLENOVO:rnMoutCook:rvrNotApplicable:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrN/A: + dmi.product.name: 434299G + dmi.product.version: Lenovo V560 + dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO ** Attachment added: "AlsaInfo.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1523624/+attachment/4531361/+files/AlsaInfo.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1523624 Title: wireless scanner function depends on kernel-version Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I am using Ubuntu Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS I run into problems, when I try to operate (the printer or) the scanner of my Canon Pixma MG3250 via wireless connection using the driver scangearmp.
