Gaston M. Tonietti, thanks for the follow up work on that. Unfortunately, bugzilla is legacy, and not the preferred venue of any known maintainer team.
Instead, for suspend issues, one would want to send to the linux-pm mailing list following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/kernel . -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1495458 Title: Black screen when resuming after sleep Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: I have a fresh install of Kubuntu Wily Beta 1. My laptop is a Dell XPS 15 with a Nvidia video. I tried both drivers nouveau and nvidia with the same result. I can reproduce the error ALWAYS, when I put the laptop to sleep it wont resume, I can see the power light and the keyboard backlight turning on as if it will wake up, but then just a black screen. I cannot even switch to a terminal (Ctr+Alt+F1), the only solution it to restart. The problem is not only when sleeping, it also happens when the screen is turned off by Power Management. --- ApportVersion: 2.18.1-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' CompositorRunning: None CurrentDesktop: KDE DistUpgraded: Fresh install DistroCodename: wily DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.10 DistroVariant: kubuntu DkmsStatus: bbswitch, 0.7, 4.2.0-10-generic, x86_64: installed bcmwl, 6.30.223.248+bdcom, 4.2.0-10-generic, x86_64: installed nvidia-352, 352.30, 4.2.0-10-generic, x86_64: installed ExtraDebuggingInterest: No GraphicsCard: Intel Corporation 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0416] (rev 06) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Dell Device [1028:05fe] InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-09-12 (7 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 15.10 "Wily Werewolf" - Alpha amd64 (20150825.1) MachineType: Dell Inc.
