Nope. I upgraded from 14.04 -> 14.10 -> 15.04 incrementally. And I only started having this issue in 15.04 from what I can remember. I'm not sure if I experienced it in 14.10. I have to boot in recovery mode and enter in my LUKS password there. I also heard that a few other people were experiencing the same issue as me.
