Title:
[Feature] DMA: DW: Need add a private probe/remove for compound
devices.
Status in intel:
Fix Released
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
For compound devices(dma engine built in a parent device, like ADSP), maybe
we need add a private probe/remove function, with passing correct dev and mask.
compound devices has a primary function with additional private DMA IP. The
ID is unique for primary function, but there is no ID for DMA part. Thus, the
primary ->probe has to get proper PCI BAR or ACPI resources and enumerate DMA
device. That's why it requires to have some generic probe/remove which is not
dependent to internal things of dw driver.
Upstream status:
Done in kernel 3.18-rc1
