Title: Screen blank or shaking if boot without nomodeset Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Booting with kernel 3.2.0-29 works normally. After upgrading to 3.2.0-52 the screen started shaking erratically and it was very hard to make out anything on it. Adding the "nomodeset" parameter to boot work as a workaround but also seems to make X.org use the vesa driver instead of intel -> slower desktop.
