Removing and re- inserting cable doesn't help. Possibly removing a module and reloading it would; I don't know. The AR8152 NIC doesn't work any more. I tried to compile Atheros's latest driver, and it looks like the kernel cabal removed mc_list from net_device, breaking third-party drivers. But I could be wrong.
