Max Bowsher, as per http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/04/Product/precision-t3500 an update is available for your BIOS (a17). If you update to this, does it change anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: bios-outdated-a17 needs-upstream-testing regression- release-3.10-rc3 ** Tags removed: kernel-bug-exists-upstream regression-release-3.10-rc3 ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream-3.10-rc3 regression-release ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1185838 Title: Mouse pointer corruption, radeon, dual-head Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Since upgrading from quantal to raring, I am experiencing corruption of my mouse pointer around once per day. I am using a dual-head setup on an ATI RV730 GL [FirePro V3750]. When corruption occurs, the mouse pointer is usually some garbled rearrangement of the pointer's pixels when the pointer is on one monitor, becoming invisible when shifted to the other monitor. Symptoms are a lot like https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55819 except raring's kernel is a lot newer than the change referred to there, and I haven't managed to locate any specific screen areas which affect the behaviour I am seeing. Unfortunately I am not able to reproduce corruption on demand, it just happens from time to time during normal use.
