I was able to reliably get putty working with GSSAPI/Kerberos when I was working on KfW. The putty settings were kind of buried, though. I guess https://www.pdc.kth.se/resources/software/login-1/windows/putty suggests that Connection-->SSH-->Auth-->GSSAPI is where the checkboxes are hiding, though there may have been one other thing that needed tweaking.
