Dear All, I have tried to propagate my kerberos database from my old master london.doc.ic.ac.uk to my new slave tt-u1404.doc.ic.ac.uk but without any luck.
<< Main characters in my tragedy >> 0] master: [root@london ~]# cat /etc/issue Mandrakelinux release 10.2 (Limited Edition 2005) for i586 Kernel 2.6.15.1-x86_01doc on an i686 / \l [root@london /]# rpm -qa | grep krb krb5-server-1.4.3-6doc 1] slave: root@tt-u1404:/var/lib/krb5kdc# cat /etc/issue Ubuntu 14.04 LTS \n \l root@tt-u1404:/var/lib/krb5kdc# aptitude show krb5-admin-server | grep Version Version: 1.12+dfsg-2ubuntu4 root@tt-u1404:/var/lib/krb5kdc# aptitude show krb5-kdc | grep Version Version: 1.12+dfsg-2ubuntu4 << The problem >> [root@london ~]# kprop -f ~/temp/slave_datatrans tt-u1404.doc.ic.ac.uk ...no prompt back and it hangs... root@tt-u1404:/var/lib/krb5kdc# service krb5-kdc status Jul 16 14:36:11 tt-u1404 kpropd[8872]: Connection from london.doc.ic.ac.uk root@tt-u1404:/var/lib/krb5kdc# ls -larth -rw------- 1 root root 2.2M Jul 16 14:36 from_master -rw------- 1 root root 8.0K Jul 16 14:36 principal~.kadm5 -rw------- 1 root root 0 Jul 16 14:36 principal~.kadm5.lock drwx------ 8 root root 4.0K Jul 16 14:36 . -rw------- 1 root root 508K Jul 16 14:36 principal~ -rw------- 1 root root 0 Jul 16 2014 principal~.ok <<My sad attempts>> - I have googled, but I have not found very much. - I have read your archive. Apparently some people had a similar problem. It seems to me that they were using two versions of Kerberos that were too different... Well, it sounds familiar :-) <<My questions>> - Any idea how to solve the above problem? - If you think that the two kerberos versions are too different, can you think a different strategy to solve the problem? Sorry for my long email. Kind regards, Giuseppe ________________________________________________ Kerberos mailing list Kerberos@mit.edu https://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/kerberos
