Akonadi is started only when there's some component or application that needs
it. That means most KDE PIM apps, a KRunner plugin and Calendar Widget on
Plasma Desktop. Solution is not to use KDE PIM (you can uninstall it), disable
the KRunner plugin and disable Akonadi integration in the Calendar Widget (it's
enabled by default, but there's a checkbox for that)

There are some more applets that depend on Akonadi, like Akonotes, but they are
useless without Akonadi integration. There are no plans to make Akonadi
optional for KDE PIM.
