It remains a bug that, if one has used Smart Format in KMail 5.x, the migration
is broken, and no date is shown in 6.x.
In fact, switching back to another date format, and then back to Smart Format,
it works.
In my config file, migrated from 5.x, the relevant line is
dateFormat=5
while after changing the format and back, it has no line containing dateFormat.
I guess now that's the default, determined by having no such line, and the old
number this choice had is no longer recognized?
