I've used KMail from Debian Wheezy - vKMail 4.4.11 ( https://packages.debian.org/wheezy/kmail ). Interestingly, others reported that the feature was removed in much previous version. It worked for me in 4.4.1 though. Now I'm with Debian Stretch with KMail 5.2.3 . A workaround I currently use is to disable the immediate marking of opened messages as read. IMHO filters to the message list should only be applied "onChange" of the filter button, as it previously was. And guys, thanks for the wonderful software!
