Just an update on this issue for the list: I worked with the reporter on the corruption experienced in this report. While the exact cause of the corruption remains unclear, I have a patch allowing to automatically recover such issue on opening and preventing it to happen again. It is currently in the work/control-id branch and under testing. It will be merged for the 24.08 release soon.
