Don't worry, this thought has crossed my mind too, and I think a rebranding before version 1.0 is pretty inevitable. The question is : when should we do it, and what should the new name be? At the moment, I would say it would only make sense to rebrand if somebody has and offers the time to constructing a proper website for Kdenlive (with the new name) and maintain it.
