I have never seen that quick responses and reactions on "that other operating system". So I downloaded/compiled dvgrab-2.1 and compiled the newest Kdenlive svn and it works: However, one bummer. The files are stored in the temporary folder. After grabbing, Kdenlive asks to process the captured files (or continue). When I press "process..", the files are first (!) copied to the home directory. If it really is a lot of video (say 12GB), you still might have a problem. Maybe it's better to ask the user where to copy the files (via a popup?). Even so: Many thanks for your work.
