I'm allways on the latest kde environment! --> KDE 3.5.6 "Release 31.3" But there's a "3.5.6-45" on the repos, i will try with this > Also, be careful not to install several versions of ffmpeg in different > location ( /usr and /usr/local), that would for sure result in troubles. I did "make uninstall" from the svn dir of ffmpeg before installing the ffmpeg's rpms from the repos, but i'v to check it... > Otherwise, try playing a clip from the command line with the MLT player: > > inigo my_movie.mpeg > > Does it work ? it works but the quality is lower than plaing the same clip with ffplay > If you can't solve, please let me know which KDE version you have and I > can try to setup a test environnement. There's someting in the air telling me that troubles come from my "savage" video chipset: S3 Inc. VT8375 [ProSavage8 KM266/KL266] I will try at home with an Nvidia on a similar environment, don't worry about this before i try, i'm sure you have a lot more to do! P.S. Compiling kdenlive with --enable-debug=yes does not report any difference from the default enable-debug witch is off. That's anoter thing pointing me to a problem not related to kdenlive. i will try with --enable-debug=full Bye... -- Salvatore Brigaglia http://ilgattotrino.studiobrigaglia.com Find me on Gtalk!
