Last time I tried, Trojita was (very) bare-bones/basic and only supported a single IMAP account. If you need something reasonably modern and complete there's only 1 alternative that I know of: Thunderbird.
If not, the GNUStep email client is interesting too, and almost identical to old versions of Apple's Mail.app . R
