as you probably know, i spent the best part of two weeks trying to get trinity
working properly on the gpd pocket and achieved limited success through
kludges. then i said hell with it, blew off trinity (to my dismay; i have long
loved that desktop) and within an hour had plasma working well, all hardware
recognized and configured, and only one small configuration issue, which was
resolved by an answer to my question on this list moments after i posted it,
and which turned out to be permissions on a config file. so it isn't a very
good example of the superiority of TDE. which on this machine never just worked.
