Well, now restarted kde on 4.10.90, and I'm still seeing the always-new- activity bug, but I found a few more clues to it, so hopefully I can file a reasonable bug (if someone hasn't beat me to it) later. I'm too sleepy now to make much sense, I'm afraid. Meanwhile, I can confirm that the calendar plasmoid works just fine with holidays build-time-option disabled. -- Duncan - List replies preferred.
