The situation got improved with introduction of the "direct" mode for
libinotify-kqueue. See this commit upstream:

In FreeBSD the fix is present since kf6-kcoreaddons-6.13.0

The underlying problem isn't solved yet, but let's close this PR in favor of
more general https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=258010
