I'm still a little skeptical and will try to run it without the WebKit bindings, but I am not familiar with this software at all. In the "modgui stuff", as the developer said, is exactly where I found the WebKit bindings being used. I looked back in the history and they had disabled it when they were transitioning from Qt4 to Qt5, so that is why I suggested it might be possible to disable it again.
