I am running: FreeBSD ed.local.net.mx 9.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 9.0-CURRENT #442: Tue Feb 9 04:55:58 CST 2010 r...@ed.local.net.mx:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/ENCONTACTO i386
All ports are up to date as of this morning. When I start x and have kde configured in xinitrc, it seems to come up correctly with sound, mouse, etc. akonadiserver has two windows open and one can be canceled and the other no. If I look at the terminal window that I use to startx and see what is happening it stops after the following lines: "akonadiserver" crashed too often and will not be restarted! QProcess: Destroyed while process is still running. kdeinit4: preparing to launch /usr/local/kde4/lib/kde4/kio_trash.so and doesn't continue. I decided to check another machine that is running up to date 7.3-PRERELEASE and also with all ports up to date as of this morning and it continues with HalManager (first three lines are the same as the lockup point for laptop): ProcessControl: Application 'akonadiserver' returned with exit code 255 (Unknown error) "akonadiserver" crashed too often and will not be restarted! QProcess: Destroyed while process is still running. kdeinit4: preparing to launch /usr/local/kde4/lib/kde4/kio_trash.so QStringList Solid::Backends::Hal::HalManager::findDeviceByDeviceInterface(const Solid::DeviceInterface::Type&) error: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Disconnected " I have recompilied hal, dbus and all of KDE recursively with both portmaster and portmanager and am stuck now using vtwm that I have never used before but it seems to work fine, but it does have a black background and I expected gray like twm. Any suggestions to get kde4 up and running again would be appreciated, ed _______________________________________________ kde-freebsd mailing list kde-freebsd@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-freebsd See also http://freebsd.kde.org/ for latest information
