Hello, "portupgrade -f kdebase kdelibs qt4-imageformats" did the trick and now KDE desktop settings work as expected. When I update the ports I pay attention to recommendations in /usr/ports/UPDATING and when libjpeg was updated I did "portupgrade -fr graphics/jpeg". Thanks for your cooperation!
