There are methods documented in the Porter's Handbook (http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/porters-handbook/) for plist generation. As for checking it, I've had good luck using tinderbox (http://tinderbox.marcuscom.com/) to verify that the port packages and uninstalls correctly. Matt
