This is why I wanted to provide a minimal patch to Makfile.in, but because I have automake 1.9.6 and the file included in the source was generated by 1.9.5, the changes are too numerous for me to be able to figure out what exactly is necessary and what's just coincidental because of different automake versions. > I'll try to doctor your modified Makefile.in into the original patch.
