Do people porting to KF5 follow a guide for the cmakelists.txt part of it? That guide should mention this too ;)
The only guide I know of is https://community.kde.org/Frameworks/Porting_Notes, which I've been sort of updating while porting calligra and krita. The build system part is pretty bare, though.
