Ah ok so this is not a new bug, but something that would have happened in kdelibs4 too, it's just that nobody is supposed to call kioexec for local files :-) I think I understand better what this is about now. src/core/desktopexecparser.cpp <https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/120267/#comment47559> I would merge this with the if (useKioexec) line. Otherwise this creates a new code path (going directly to result << exec), while surely not entering the main if() would have worked just as well?
