Hi, I've been asked earlier this year (during the Brno PIM sprint) to put my new classes that are intended to "replace" (or supplement) KDirLister, KFileItem and KDirModel in a wiki (or somewhere else) for the documentation.
Back then the classes where nowhere near usable, but that is now slowly changing so i think now would be a good time to ask for people to look at the documentation, look at the WIP! code and look at what might still be missing (besides an implementation for some of the stub functions). Please do understand the goal of these new classes: - Simplicity - Low memory footprint - Fast (equal of faster then the current alternative) - Tailored towards QML, but not for QML exclusively Lots is still missing in the classes. The stuff i do plan to add is on the wiki. If you have a need for something to be added, now is the time to let me know. Lastly KDirModel. The models that i describe in the wiki page are _not_ comparable to KDirModel, but you probably can implement a KDirModel with my "DirListModel" class. I'm looking forward to all your feedback.
