It was easy enough to fix, but it wouldn't have happened if Laurent would
use Merge Requests...
Merge requests don't run the deploy stage of the pipeline (which is the part
that failed here), so that on its own wouldn't have caught this either, the MR
would have been green and only failed after integration.
This is more about receiving (and acting on) Gitlab's CI failure notifications
I'd say. So if anyone doesn't get those by email please double-check your
Gitlab settings and if necessary work with the sysadmin team to figure out
where things get lost, as we see here it's essential everyone has this
working.

Sadly it's also possible people are filtering these emails and not
