Hi all,

over the last months I have been reviving KLook & making it work well enough
for myself. Currently it is implemented as a Qt Quick app licensed as GPLv3,
though my plan is to convert it into a library so that apps can embed file
previews. Having KLook as a separate app means I cannot propagate keybindings
back to the origin app that executed KLook.

I recently had a thought about the license being GPLv3 and realised maybe this
could be a blocker for integrating it into Dolphin/other apps that might want
to use it. Is a GPLv3 library acceptable for most KDE apps to use? If not then
what is the process for relicensing it? I presume I just have to email the
previous authors and ask for permission. If it comes down to it then I really
don't mind rewriting it from scratch - it's quite a small codebase.

Thanks,
Jack
