Well, actually we could tell you (or suggest to you) things to work on.

Do you have an interest in some application--is there something in some open 
source application which you don't like or doesn't work as well as you'd like?  
You could start looking into that.

Or, if you don't have anything in mind, I have a few things in mind.  One of 
them would be a lexer for a variation of the TWiki markup language for the 
Scintilla editing widgit / control / thingie, to be written in C++.
