Thank you sven, dominic, It was not apparent there were any accelerators available as there are no underlines shown on the label anymore. Is there a way I can activate a 'show accelerators' so I'm not missing these shortcuts. I hate picking my hands up off the keyboard if I can avoid it and really do make use of the accelerators if I know what they are. That is why I actually loved the old floating dialogs, I could use them in a snap and all accelerators where clearly underlined on the buttons (they were the kde3 kate/kwrite dialogs) Current version is the latest Version 16.08.2 with KDE Frameworks 5.27.0 Qt 5.7.0 (built against 5.7.0) The xcb windowing system Ahh! With the accelerator, it works nicely! But the dialog does not remember the last replacement text (it has it available in the combo-list, but it is no longer automatically the active 'Replace:' text) So now it is a ctrl+r RE tab down-arrow alt+a Is there a switch or a bit of code I can tweak that would tell replace to keep the last 'replace' text as the active replacement text. What I want is to cut this process down to: ctrl+r RE alt+a That will be back to normal and slick as can be. Hell, with the new FW5, why not have it do one better and if there is a multi-line selection, then remember both the last 'Find:' text and the last 'Replace:' text to cut down subsequent application of the same action to 'ctrl+r alt+a' :) (for single line, or less, selections, the selected text should still go in the 'Find:') -- David C.
