Hi, I've build a backup service providing a backup service and version management: for an user it's very easy to browse the backup and versions of a file, as well as access them.
See: https://sourceforge.net/projects/fusebackup/ Watch the screenshots, these may clarify a lot I hope. Backup and previous versions of files are available just like entries in a directorie through a fuse fs. Now I want to work on integration with Dolphin. Nautlis (I've seen on with the latest Ubuntu) works already with "reverting to a previous version" using deja-dup. What I want is to add the ability to Dolphin to view versions of files for directories which are backupped by expanding after clicking on a menuitem for . This is not a small change I know, but in my opinion it would be very nice to have this kind of integration in stead of another application. I've been looking at the existing versioncontrolplugin API of Dolphin, but it looks like I need something else. Any suggestion? Is it a good idea to develop a backup api? Stef (I've posted already on kfm-devel, but too less comments)
