Oops. I didn't press publish on my comment.

Baloo, now as a design goal, doesn't support OSX or Windows any more. We 
recommend using their native file indexers. Sorry about not pushing your patch, 
I meant to port it to Qt5, but I ran into conflicts and never landed up working 
them out. I hope this doesn't discourage you from contributing to KDE. Again, I 
apoligize for not getting to this sooner.
